Introduction

The Swedish Radiation Safety Authority supports the draft ” Radiological Protection in Therapy with Radiopharmaceuticals” in general.

Comments

Abstract

  • The goal of radiation therapy, including therapy with radiopharmaceuticals, is to optimise the relationship between the probability of control of tumour/target tissue and complications in normal tissue. Instead
    Change to: The challenge of radiation therapy…. (the goal of radiation therapy is to cure the patient, or to ease the pain or complications inflicted by tumours)

        -  Consider that older people maybe don´t need to sleep in separate beds.

  • ·         It doesn´t work to ensure that all excreta are disposed of in the sanitary sewer system, if the patient is using diapers.

  • ·         It´s important to verify the intra-articular position of the needle before the patient is administrated with the treatment radionuclide.
